Sniff...sniff...cough...cough...

This is a photo of my brother and sister in 1981-ish Christmas time....makes me laugh out loud every time I see it...

Being sick for over a week now is just plain annoying. :(
Especially in this busy holiday season....but things are still getting done, slowly and over long periods of time...but getting done nonetheless! I still have a few blog posts I hope to get up before the big holiday (about St Nicholas day, an amazing couple of artists I found out about at the One of a Kind show, homemade caramels, and a few other musings). Crossing my fingers I can get my act together (and my body to co-operate) very soon.
In the meantime....enjoy this random Christmas photo from my stash...hope it makes you smile :)

'Tis the season...

Ummmm....where did November go? Is Christmas seriously just 5 weeks or so away? I am doing okay on the organizing front (gift buying, decorating, writing cards etc) but the seasonal mood has not set in....yet. Hmmmm....must start playing some seasonal music! We loved this cd last year....

I would definitely recommend it! 

My friend and I are heading to the One of a Kind show in Toronto this Thursday (opening day!) and I am super excited already!!! I was lucky to go to one in Vancouver when we lived there a few years back and LOVED it! It is basically a huge exhibition of local artists....over 800 this year alone I think! It is in its 38th year....so you know it's good! I'm pretty sure I could spend a small (or large!) fortune there (if I had one ;) ). I like to think of it as a giant room filled with the most amazing Etsy shops come to life....if that makes sense? I LOVE Fall...

Old is new again...

I must say, I am really happy I kept a lot of my old toys and books from when I was younger...

Wooden blocks have become a favourite around here....

...even kept an old colouring book (that has lots of pages left in it to be coloured)

....books upon books....and more books....I think Felix has about 200 books already!

An old smurf village pop up book was quite the surprise and brought out a squeal of delight once opened....

A couple of old softies....washed and re-stuffed made them new again and ready for a new generation of snuggles....
